Coloring & Perming: Safe application of hair dyes and perms, understanding chemical processes.
Braiding & Weaving: Popular African hair braiding techniques and extension application.
Customer Service & Salon Etiquette: Developing communication skills, client consultation, and professional conduct.
Salon Management (Basic): Inventory, scheduling, and cleanliness for running a salon.
Hands-on Experience: Students practice on mannequins and each other, eventually providing services to the community under supervision in a simulated salon environment.
Career Prospects: Working in beauty salons, spas, or establishing independent hairdressing businesses, potentially offering mobile services or opening small salons.
