Sewing School

  • Objective: To train skilled tailors, dressmakers, and textile entrepreneurs who can create and repair garments, design clothing, or start their own fashion and sewing businesses.

    • Machine Operation & Maintenance: Proficiency in operating industrial and domestic sewing machines, troubleshooting common issues.

    • Pattern Making & Cutting: Learning to create, adapt, and cut patterns for various garments.

    • Garment Construction: Step-by-step assembly of different clothing items (dresses, shirts, trousers, skirts, uniforms).

    • Fabric Knowledge: Understanding different fabric types, their properties, and suitable applications.

    • Finishing & Embellishment: Techniques for hemming, seaming, adding zippers, buttons, and decorative elements.

    • Fashion Design (Basic): Introduction to design principles and trends.

  • Hands-on Experience: Students create a portfolio of garments, often working on commissioned pieces or school uniform production.

  • Career Prospects: Working in tailoring shops, garment factories, creating custom clothing, or establishing independent sewing businesses specializing in design, repair, or production. This is particularly popular for female entrepreneurs.
