Objective: To train skilled masons capable of constructing durable and safe buildings, contributing to Rwanda's ongoing infrastructure development.

Curriculum Focus:

• Bricklaying & Block Laying: Proper techniques for laying bricks and concrete blocks, ensuring stability and alignment.

• Concrete Mixing & Application: Understanding concrete ratios, mixing methods, pouring, and finishing.

• Foundations & Superstructures: Constructing strong building foundations and walls.

• Plastering & Rendering: Applying smooth and durable finishes to walls.

• Basic Construction Drawing: Interpreting simple architectural plans and blueprints.

• Tool Usage & Safety: Proper handling and maintenance of masonry tools, adhering to construction site safety regulations.

Hands-on Experience: Students work on practical projects, constructing various structures within the HVTC campus or in community projects, gaining real-world building experience.

Career Prospects: Employment with construction companies, building contractors, or working as independent masons on residential and commercial projects.
